1.09.005 PURPOSE.
The purpose of the Mixed Use (MU) Zone is to provide areas in the City for mixed use development with a diversity of residential, office and low impact commercial uses.

1.09.010 USE REQUIREMENTS.
The stores, shops or businesses allowed in this Chapter shall be permitted only under the following conditions:

  1. Such business shall be conducted wholly within an enclosed building with no outdoor storage of goods;
  2. All products, whether primary or incidental, shall be sold at retail on the premises;
  3. All uses shall be free from objection due to odor, dust, smoke, noise, vibration or other causes; and
  4. No Big-Box Retail, Wholesale or Warehouse is allowed.

1.09.015 USES.
Uses of land or buildings which are permitted in a Mixed Use Zone are shown as a “P” for “permitted uses” in the appropriate column, or a “C” for “conditional uses” in the appropriate column. If a use is not permitted it is either not named in the uses list or it is indicated in the appropriate column by a dash ″-″ as “not permitted” or not applicable or is stated as such.

 ¹ Note: Retail Buildings are limited to ten-thousand (10,000) square feet of total floor area. Buildings with additional square footage may be considered where the building is used for mixed use occupancy, but in no case shall the foot print of the building be more than ten-thousand (10,000) square feet or more than two (2) stories when abutting minor streets or more than forty-thousand (40,000) square feet or more than two (2) stories when abutting major arterial streets.

1.09.020 LOT REGULATIONS.
This Section shall apply to all structures and accessory structures in a Mixed Use (MU) Zone.
