Willard Reed Larson – U.S. Army Air Corps

He was part of a crew of B-24 Liberator based in England. Their target 4/29/1944 was Essen, Germany (the ballbearing capital of Germany). After completing their bombing mission, they were returning to England when their plane was shot down near Dumner Lake in Germany. His crew and plane were never found. The date was the Heaviest air attack of the war where the greatest number of bomber and fighter planes was lost.
